Lynda’s Story

My uterus weighed 238 grams when it was removed.┬áMy symptoms included tingling and burning in my hands and feet. I also had high blood pressure. 140s/80s &90s. All of that went away, and I lost 10 lbs of fluid in 2 days post-op. I’ve lost another 10 lbs with no effort. Pathology showed Adenomyosis only. My doctor told me last week that my uterus was likely compressing my aorta and the main nerves that run through the abdomen. So…Adeno can contribute to high blood pressure. This is a pretty big deal in my opinion. I also had a pulmonary embolism 5 days post-op, but I wouldn’t want to include that and scare women from having hysterectomies.
